At Kentfield, we work in close partnership with patients and families to help achieve the best possible outcomes.SUMMARY: At Kentfield Hospital the HR Generalist assists the business until leaders and employees with daily operations and HR initiatives. This role balances strategic workforce planning and organizational effectiveness with deeper, day-to-day involvement in employee relations, investigations, coaching, policy application and payroll functions.QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES:Review all HRIS transactional process requirements on a daily/weekly and as needed basis and manage the approval or rejection processAnalytical Reporting- Track and analyze people metrics (turnover, retention, ER caseloads, time‑to‑resolution, absenteeism, engagement, DEI indicators) to identify trends.Knowledgeable regarding labor/employment law HR Policy Compliance Onboarding & OffboardingTraining and CompliancePerformance Review ManagementEmployee Relations and Investigation ComplianceManages union and nonunion payroll processingCompensation Management- Advise compensation, establish compensation grades (Union/Non-Union contract), and pay equity; support annual merit/bonus cycles and promotion governance. Audits HRIS for data integrity, Personnel files, Payroll on a quarterly basisEscalate transactional process issues and advanced issues to Director of HR (DHR) for reviewManage all incoming HR cases/calls/chats requiring an HR response pertaining to benefits, compensation, and leave of absenceknowledge and understanding a wide variety of HR processes, policies, etcResponsible for overall regulatory compliance of accredited agencies (ACLS/BLS, etc)Experience providing HR support to both unionized and non-union settings.Comfortable in thorough documentation and regulatory compliance as that is how we protect our staff and patientsAttention to Details — wrong dates, missing signatures, expired credentials before they become problemsComfortable working in fast paced work environments with competing deadlinesAbility to navigate HRIS/payroll platforms (PayCom), and Microsoft Office, a plusManages state, federal, and local reporting (HCSO, Paydata, EEO, etc)Knowledge of The Joint Commission, CARF, state and federal regulations relating to human resources preferred.Qualifications1–3+ years of hands-on HR experience (healthcare or Acute LTAC strongly preferred given the compliance demands of this role)Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field/PHR Certification (or equivalent experience).
