Experienced Electrician Commercial/Residental

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment for industrial, commercial and residential properties. Job Responsibilities: Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems Install safety and distribution components ( e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Job Requirements: 5+ years experience Valid drivers license High school diploma/GED required Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician highly recommended but not required Able to work well on a team and/or independently Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance Excellent hand-eye coordination Demonstrate knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment Strong interpersonal communication skills Experience in residential and/or commercial electrical systems Demonstrate ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Have the ability to supervise and manage jobs Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday On call Rotating weekends People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: Electrical: 5 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Hampstead, NC (Required) Ability to Relocate: Hampstead, NC: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
