Outside Sales Professional - RentalClassificationExemptJob SummaryThis individual will develop long-term partnerships with our customers to build win/win solutions within an assigned territory while promoting all aspects of Doggett Company, LLC. in a professional manner.Essential FunctionsAbility to develop a book of business with construction, industrial and oil and gas customers to rent construction equipmentDaily planning/scheduling and daily calls to various customer job sites and officesMaintain budgeted metrics on rental revenue, utilization, new accounts, active accounts and pricingAbility to perform needs analysis and develop plan to meet customers' needs within parameters of the rental departmentAbility to penetrate different market segments within a given geographic territory to maintain a diverse book of businessUse Company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the rental processDevelop a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trendsCoordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer work siteWork in conjunction with Sales Manager and Sales Support Group department, responsible for follow-up and expediting rentalsAccountable for timely follow up on each transaction to ensure customer satisfactionCoordinate and/or communicate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely deliveryCoordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as neededFollow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbookConduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Doggett Company, LLCProactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill setParticipate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related effortsMaintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer servicePerform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient mannerKnowledge of company specific softwareQualificationsCollege degree in sales, marketing or business preferred or 3-4 years of related sales experienceSolid understanding of local market conditionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills requiredExcellent customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeDaily consistent use of a professional CRMTravel RequirementsOn average 8-12 face to face sales calls per dayAbility to travel 15% of the time or as neededThe Outside Sales Professional - Rental must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others.
