Temporary HR Assistant (6-Month Assignment) Location:Portland, ME Schedule:Daytime hours (MondayFriday, 8-5) Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborativeHR Assistantto join our team for a temporary 6-month assignment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, professional services environment and enjoys supporting both people and processes. Over the next several months, our client anticipates a high volume of recruiting and onboarding activity. This position will play a key role in keeping operations organized and running smoothly while contributing to a positive candidate and employee experience. Key Responsibilities Provide scheduling support for a variety of HR and recruiting activities, including: New hire orientations Phone screens Interviews Recruitment events Coordinate logistics for recruitment events, including: Ordering food and supplies Assisting with event setup and breakdown Prepare and print recruitment and onboarding materials Maintain organized and accurate HR files Assist with posting open positions on job boards and internal systems Conduct basic phone screens for candidates, as needed Provide general administrative support to the HR team What Were Looking For Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, team-oriented environment Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset Comfort with scheduling and coordinating across multiple stakeholders Willingness to stretch and support recruiting efforts as needed Previous administrative or HR experience is a plus, but not required Work Environment Collaborative, team-focused professional services organization Fast-paced atmosphere with a high level of activity over the coming months Supportive team that values flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude Position starts in April and will last roughly 6 months. $25-30/hr, depending on both administrative and HR support experience.
