OverviewKimley-Horn's Monterey office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesPerform site development engineering and project management tasks for public works, residential and commercial projectsProjects will include a variety of land development sites, transportation, and utility designsIn addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specificationsAssist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedulesThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projectsYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationshipsYou will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractorsQualifications2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firmBachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Candidates should have experience with roadway design, utility design, site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3DExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamSalary Range:$105,000 to $135,000Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
