Resident Assistant/Caregiver

Resident Assistant/Caregiver Ecumen is hiring a Resident Assistant for our newly acquired St. Benedict's Community in Monticello which consists of assisted living, memory care, and independent living. The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing personal care and delegated health-related services designed to maintain the resident's physical and emotional well-being. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education. Ecumen offers a benefits package based on the number of hours you are regularly scheduled to work including paid time off for Sick & Safe time, an Employee Assistance Program, other well-being resources.Essential Job Responsibilities:Assists with treatments and activities of daily living as delegated by the Clinical Director per individualized care plan including: Dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, transferringAssists with AM and HS cares including oral care as neededIncontinence careAssistive devices, glasses and hearing aidsMedication administration as delegated by the RNObserves, documents and reports changes in physical, cognitive and emotional condition of any of the residentsPromotes independence with residents, offering choices and fostering self-help skillsPartners effectively with others in a demanding and changing environment and supports all team members within the community as directed by the Clinical Director or Registered NurseCompletes scheduled cleaning tasksLeads and assists resident activities as assignedResponds appropriately to all safety hazards, call lights, requests and reassignment of dutiesPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Required Qualifications:Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and writtenAbility to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulationsPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Previous experience with working with seniorsCertified Nursing Assistant CNA and/or Home Health AideEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
