Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer TechnicianLocation: 100% OnsiteHours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Local candidates only)Contract Terms: 6-month contractTop 3 Skills:Strong Electrical Engineering/Engineering background with manufacturing industry experienceStrong testing experienceFlexibility with schedule (swing shift); strong test/automation experience preferredPosition Summary:The ideal candidate is self-directed and able to work autonomously to achieve company goals.Key Responsibilities:Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtime; recommend solutions to Manufacturing Engineering and Test & Automation Engineering.Apply basic microcomputer skills to understand microprocessor operation and interfacing characteristics, including I/O, interfacing concepts, software interaction, applications, programming languages, and techniques.Utilize PLC operations experience, including basic system configurations, hardware, data manipulation, data communications, advanced programming commands, interfacing, troubleshooting, application, and program development.Install, maintain, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and rebuild electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and components.Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in manufacturing.Demonstrate ability to cope in stressful situations, follow company policies and procedures, and remain committed to tasks.Assist with hands-on training of manufacturing employees on new products, tooling, equipment, and process revisions.Place materials, parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment in proper locations; keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.Support and promote 5S in the workplace.Support and deploy digital tools throughout the factory.Promote a safety-first culture.Troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based technical problems.Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the current Attendance Policy.Qualifications :2-year degree in Electro-Mechanical, Electronic Technology, or equivalent education AND a minimum of two years of electro-mechanical work experience OR five or more years of experience in a related field.Familiarity with standard recognized troubleshooting practices.Ability to reference National Electrical Codes.Ability to read mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
