Reports To: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Salary/Wage- $19.66-$23.13 Hourly
Type of Position: Full-Time
Hours: 40+/week: Hourly

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Dry Processing Quality/Oil Technician is responsible for all QA/QC tests done on the product. This includes tests during production at each piece of equipment, production samples and retains, and incoming products and samples. Will be responsible for all aspects of oil production (press,filter, infusing, and packaging.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing includes but is not limited to analytical and microbiological, in-process and final product testing.
Be able to operate, calibrate and troubleshoot all lab equipment.
Keep the lab organized and clean. Maintain the highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination.
Verify plant sanitation by inspection, ATP and Microbiology swabbing.
Notify the supervisor if any results are out of specification.
Review daily production and quality records. Report any issues to management in a timely manner.
Keep records and files current and organized for quick document retrieval.
Setup, operation, and clean-up of all oil equipment
maintain documents for all daily activities of oil equipment.
May be required to perform other tasks other than those listed.
WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experience in the ingredient, or food processing industry is preferred
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Knowledge of the lab equipment and the proper technique in running them.
The ability to multi-task (handle several priorities at one time).
Good mechanical aptitude.
Forklift operation skills
Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma and/or equivalent or higher.
