Position Summary
They are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical construction projects while contributing to the company's growth through business development. This role is responsible for managing project execution, maintaining profitability, building strong customer relationships, and developing project engineering talent. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding results for clients and the company.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage multiple electrical construction projects concurrently from preconstruction through closeout.
Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
Monitor project performance to ensure quality, safety, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Coordinate with field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and schedule impacts proactively.
Ensure all project commitments are fulfilled on time and within budget.
Business Development
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships that lead to repeat business.
Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities.
Create and execute a business development strategy approved by company leadership.
Represent the company professionally with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and develop assigned Project Engineers through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Provide guidance that prepares team members for future leadership opportunities.
Performance Goals
The successful Project Manager will be expected to:
Manage$10 million+in total annual project value.
Source$5 million+in annual project value through business development efforts.
Maintain a minimum15% gross profit marginacross all managed projects annually.
Develop assigned Project Engineers into high-performing contributors through structured coaching and reviews.
Create and implement a management-approved business development strategy.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Proven experience managing electrical construction projects.
Strong understanding of project financials, estimating, scheduling, contracts, and risk management.
Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development.
Experience leading and developing project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Electrical contracting or commercial/industrial construction experience.
Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms.
