Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in a Career and Technical Education setting.2. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans for specific for CTE program needs3. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities4. Prepare classroom for class activities5. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities6. Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs7. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment 8. Use relevant technology to support instruction8. Observe and evaluate student's performance and development9. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments10. Provide appropriate feedback on work11. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students12. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development13. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations14. Prepare required reports on students and activities15. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures16. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school 18. Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary17. Perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counseling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement18. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations19. Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings20. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs21. Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities22. Perform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:1. Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution2. Meet professional teacher education requirements of School, District, and State3. Single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject 4. State certification including endorsements required for a specific subject/area4. Relevant teaching experience
