Job DetailsDescriptionThe Mechanical Planner is responsible for ensuring maintenance work is planned and scheduled in a safe, effective, and efficient way. Major responsibilities for the Mechanical Planner include, but are not limited to, the following: Work safely by following all Company policies, procedures, and expectations. Identify and resolve any problems that could delay planned routine mechanical maintenance activities. Order and manage the inventory of parts and supplies needed for routine maintenance tasks. Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports. Utilize SAP to record, track, and analyze maintenance work. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Reviewing and understanding equipment and machinery manuals to determine the standard operating procedures for mechanical work. Coordinate with outside vendors to schedule and perform routine mechanical maintenance activities. Estimating the time and resources needed for each routine mechanical maintenance job planned. Tracking the inventory of spare parts and ensuring their availability for routine and emergency mechanical maintenance jobs. Inspect the workplace for potential safety hazards and implement safety protocols. Work with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts. Track and communicate the status for all routine mechanical maintenance jobs. Training maintenance staff in new procedures and protocols as needed. Managing cost and logistics from requisition to purchase order closure for all routine mechanical maintenance work. Track routine mechanical maintenance, specific inventory, and procurement. Support budgeting and financial decisions for routine mechanical maintenance work. Verifies routine mechanical maintenance contractors comply with site protocols. On a periodic rotating schedule, act as the Maintenance Department contract for organizing night and weekend callout support Must demonstrate the following emotional intelligence skills: Emotional Empathy Positive Attitude Excellent Communication Skills Flexibility / Adaptability Interpersonal Skills
