EHS Coordinator/ManagerPrintpack is seeking a dynamic and experienced EHS Coordinator/Manager to serve as the site's primary Environmental, Health, and Safety resource at our Williamsburg facility. In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and expertise to plant management and associates, ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing workplace risks, and fostering a proactive culture of safety excellence across all manufacturing operations. This is an impactful individual contributor role where you'll drive strategic risk reduction, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while supporting a workforce of 100–150 associates.What You'll DoLead Safety Culture: Champion a proactive culture of safety, accountability, and engagement across all facility operationsEnsure Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and implement federal, state, and local EHS laws; maintain compliance with environmental permits and programs (waste, wastewater, air, and other regulatory requirements)Manage Risk: Lead comprehensive risk assessments, conduct facility inspections and audits, and implement preventive measures to reduce organizational exposureDevelop & Deliver Training: Design, deliver, and evaluate EHS training programs on safe work practices and environmental requirements for all personnelInvestigate Incidents: Conduct thorough root cause analyses of safety and environmental incidents; establish effective prevention methodsCoordinate Emergency Response: Maintain emergency response protocols and comprehensive incident documentationBuild Relationships: Develop collaborative working relationships with regulatory agencies, fire departments, wastewater authorities, and internal cross-functional teamsMaintain VPP Status: Collaborate with plant and divisional teams to maintain and advance Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) statusDrive Continuous Improvement: Develop tools for measuring and reporting the effectiveness of safety and environmental initiativesManage Contractor Safety: Establish and oversee contractor safety requirements, permitting processes, and compliance activitiesSupport Case Management: Partner with HR and Operations on injury case management and return-to-work activitiesReport & Communicate: Generate analytical reports, track trends, and communicate EHS performance metrics to all levels of the organizationEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field — OR equivalent experienceManufacturing or operations environment experience preferredOSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory knowledge requiredCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferredKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong safety leadership with the ability to influence and engage diverse teamsExpert knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulationsProven experience in risk assessment, hazard analysis, and incident investigation (root cause analysis)Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and training skillsProficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and compliance reportingExperience with EHS management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and VPP programsStrong understanding of industrial hygiene principlesCrisis management and emergency response coordination experienceProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, management, and external regulatory agenciesLearning agility — ability to quickly adapt to new regulatory changes and industry best practicesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsSplit time between office environment and manufacturing floorTypical Monday–Friday schedule; must be available for emergency response outside normal business hoursExposure to manufacturing environment including industrial equipment, varying temperatures, noise above 85db, solvents, inks, and fumesMust be able to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, work on elevated platforms, and wear required PPEOccasional lifting up to 25 poundsOccasional travel to support locations, regulatory meetings, and training sessionsRequirementsMust be 18+ years oldMust pass pre-employment screening (drug test, background check)Internal candidates must demonstrate Core Values and be in good standing with no disciplinary issuesPrintpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
