DescriptionThe Program Director at the Oasis Clubhouse in San Diego, CA, leads a recovery-oriented community designed for adults (ages 18 and older) living with serious mental illness. Combining clinical oversight with community-based psychosocial care, the Director ensures all activities adhere strictly to the Clubhouse International Standards.Position SummaryTitle: Clubhouse Program DirectorLocation: San Diego, CASalary: $105,000 – $115,000 / yearClassification: Full-time, ExemptRequired License: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Active and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences)Key ResponsibilitiesClubhouse Model Fidelity & Adult RecoveryWork-Ordered Day: Operationalize the Clubhouse International Standards by engaging adult members and staff as colleagues in running all day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse. Accreditation Readiness: Direct all programmatic preparations to achieve and maintain formal Clubhouse International Accreditation. Member-Driven Culture: Foster a non-clinical, strength-based, and consensus-driven environment that promotes dignity, mutual respect, and community integration for adults recovering from serious mental illness. Clinical & Supervisory OversightLCSW Oversight: Provide clinical oversight, risk assessments, crisis intervention, and case consultations appropriate to an adult mental health setting. Staff Development: Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team—including generalist staff and peer support specialists—ensuring high adherence to the Clubhouse generalist model. Quality Assurance: Ensure all member records, tracking data, and intake processes comply with HIPAA, state licensing, and San Diego County contract requirements. Employment, Education, & Community SupportVocational Pathways: Build and oversee the Clubhouse’s Transitional, Supported, and Independent Employment opportunities by developing strong networks with local San Diego employers. Educational Linkages: Assist adult members in accessing and navigating educational programs, GED certification, and local community college or vocational systems. Independent Living: Facilitate member-driven groups and units focused on community housing access, budgeting, wellness, and essential navigation of local public entitlements. Community Integration & AdvocacyReach-Out Network: Oversee the Clubhouse "reach-out" system to track, support, and re-engage members who are absent or experiencing crises, reducing isolation. Resource Mapping: Maintain active referral networks with local adult housing programs, crisis stabilization units, and outpatient care systems across San Diego County. Qualifications & ExperienceLicensure: Active California LCSW, LMFT, LPCC License. Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation leadership experience, with preferred expertise working in adult psychiatric rehabilitation. Model Familiarity: Prior experience in a certified Clubhouse setting or completion of Clubhouse International Training is highly preferred. Core Competencies: Expert knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction principles, and the psychiatric recovery model
