SUBWAY RESTAURANT TEAM MEMBER Position Overview The Restaurant Team Member reports directly to the Manager. Minimum Requirements The ideal candidate will: - Communicate effectively in both oral and written English. - Adhere to an assigned work schedule. - Be legally authorized to work in the United States. - Have reliable transportation to and from work. Willingness to: The successful candidate will: - Proactively engage customers by asking if they are interested in purchasing additional items through suggestive or "plus" selling. - Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor toward customers, vendors, and team members. - Follow Company policies and comply with all applicable Federal and State laws. - Work independently or collaboratively with minimal direction while following instructions to complete tasks. Mental Capabilities The successful candidate will: - Efficiently process all sales transactions using the Point of Sale system, accurately handling cash and other forms of payment, including providing correct change to customers. - Prepare daily paperwork accurately and manage lottery, money orders, money transfers, and other types of retail transactions. Physical Ability Requirements The successful candidate will: - Work in varying temperature extremes in walk-in coolers, freezers, and outdoor settings. - Stand, stoop, and walk for an entire shift, with the ability to bend at the waist and twist as necessary. - Clean interior and exterior areas, including trash disposal, restrooms, and spills. - Reach, grasp, and manipulate objects continuously throughout the day. - Climb ladders as needed to store or retrieve materials or hang signage. - Lift and carry up to 50 pounds from the ground to waist height on occasion. - Routinely lift and carry up to 30 pounds from the ground to overhead (e.g., stocking shelves). - Push and pull with a force of up to 20 pounds (e.g., mopping, using a hand truck). Operation of Equipment The successful candidate will: - Efficiently use and troubleshoot all equipment in the store (e.g., POS system, fuel tanks, dispensers). - Maintain property and equipment to ensure a safe environment for both customers and employees. - Adhere to all Company Safety and Loss Prevention procedures, including wearing appropriate safety equipment.
