Position OverviewWe are seeking talented Mechanical Engineers to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of key hardware components for our robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, hands-on experience with prototyping, and passion for creating elegant mechanical solutions for complex challenges.ResponsibilitiesDesign complex mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD softwareDevelop, test, and validate prototypes to verify design concepts and functionalityCreate detailed engineering drawingsPerform engineering analysis (FEA, MATLAB) to optimize designs for strength, weight, and durabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, systems) to integrate mechanical componentsWork with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standardsBuild and test mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and test equipmentDocument designs, test procedures, and design processes thoroughlyRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field3+ years of industrial experience in mechanical design and development for complex mechanical systemsExpert proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, OnShape, UG, or similar)Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals including kinematics, dynamics, and structural analysisExperience with actuators, sensing, transmission systems (strain-wave, planetary, cycloidal gearing, etc.)Familiarity with electromechanical integration (motors, sensors, wire routing, etc.)Hands-on prototyping and testing skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with robotics systems, particularly humanoid or mobile platformsKnowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA principlesExperience with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining)Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processesExperience working with contract manufacturers
