Commercial Sheet Metal Superintendent

Description: Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking a bilingual commercial HVAC/Sheetmetal superintendent to work in the Boca Raton Florida areas on large commercial projects. Mainly hospitals, schools, Universities, and Government facilities. This is a Safety Sensitive position. Requirements: 5-10 years’ commercial experience in HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Installation Management experience running construction crews Must be able to read blueprints and understand code Willingness to mentor and teach other team members Must ensure quality control, assist with scheduling, maintain goals Must ensure safety rules and meetings are being held weekly and followed. Will work with purchasing to procure materials needed Must produce project schedules, and coordinate tradesmen for each project Work closely with Project Managers and other team members Valid driver’s license Gas card and Truck Allowance eligible Bilingual in Spanish and English Overtime may be necessary depending on jobs and schedules Employer conducts background checks (including JLA if needed for schools), motor vehicle checks, and drug screening. Essential Functions: Climbing up and down ladders Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. – Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. – See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
