Located in Reno, Nevada, it offers a vibrant environment for both professional and personal growth.Role DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Coordinator, Aquatics & Facility Operations within Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS). This position provides operational leadership and oversees the day-to-day management of the Lombardi Recreation Center’s aquatic facilities, programs, and student staff, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and well-maintained environment for the campus community. The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of aquatic operations, including compliance with state regulations, risk management, staffing, and facility maintenance. In addition, this role contributes to program development, instruction, scheduling, and fiscal oversight for the Lombardi Recreation Pool and adjacent FRS spaces.This position plays a key role in student development through the recruitment, training, and supervision of lifeguards and head lifeguards. The Coordinator also supports academic courses, fosters community partnerships, and collaborates with campus departments to maximize utilization of FRS facilities.
