Job Title: OpenShift Platform EngineerLocation- Columbus , OH (Onsite)Role Purpose:Own the deployment, upgrade, and operational stability of the Azure API Management (APIM) Self-Hosted Gateway running on OpenShift. Ensure zero impact to consumers while maintaining production-grade reliability, scalability, and security.Key Responsibilities:Perform upgrades of Azure APIM Self-Hosted Gateway on OpenShiftEnsure zero downtime and no consumer impact during upgradesValidate routing via F5, WAF, and ezGateway pathsHarden gateway deployments with focus on:SecurityScalabilityHigh availability (HA)Enable and support L2/L3 operational readinessCollaborate with platform, networking, and security teamsMust-Have Experience:OpenShift Expertise (Mandatory)Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift 4.x administrationDeep understanding of:Routes, Services, Security Context Constraints (SCCs), Network PoliciesTLS termination (edge, passthrough)Pod security and RBACKubernetes Skills:Helm-based deployments and upgradesRolling upgrades and rollback strategiesResource tuning (CPU/memory), readiness/liveness probes, and auto-scalingAzure APIM Self-Hosted Gateway:Understanding of gateway architecture and lifecycleExperience with upgrade planning and version compatibilityCertificate management between gateway and Azure APIMTroubleshooting gateway connectivity and performance issuesObservability & Monitoring:Experience with pod logs, events, and health checksIntegration with monitoring/logging tools such as:SplunkDynatracePrometheusProduction Support:Strong production support mindsetExperience in:Runbook creation and maintenanceIncident triage and resolutionRoot cause analysis (RCA)
