We are seeking a highly energetic, mechanically inclined individual who can supervise our 2nd shift production employees while contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the operation.We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can lead employees in a fast-paced, assembly-line production environment.Position DescriptionShift: 2nd Hours: Monday Friday, 2 PM 11 PM (some Saturdays and shift flexibility required depending on business needs)Pay: Starting at $22.60/hr + $1.00/hr shift premium for 2nd shiftOpportunity for $0.75/hr increase at 6 months (based on 3.5 performance score)Opportunity for additional $0.75/hr increase at 12 months (based on 3.5 performance score)Supervisor Duties Include (but are not limited to):Creates manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating performance; coaching and providing feedback; and enforcing policies and proceduresCompletes production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; monitors progress and revises schedules as neededMaintains quality standards by enforcing organizational expectationsCompiles and analyzes production data; responds to operational questions and requestsMaintains a safe and clean work environment through proper training and enforcement of safety protocolsResolves personnel issues by analyzing situations, investigating concerns, and recommending solutionsMaintains communication with Production Manager and Assistant Production ManagerJob Skills:Monitors production to minimize downtime and ensure adherence to schedulesEnsures efficient use of equipment and facility resourcesOversees product quality and proper machine operationMaintains accurate daily production recordsAssists with training employees on job functions and equipment operationPromotes safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment handlingSupports continuous improvement / VFM initiativesApproves weekly timecards and tracks attendance/absencesRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to maintain productivity while following safety and operational protocolsStrong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environmentMaintenance knowledge and mechanical aptitude preferredBilingual (Eng/Spa) skills encouraged, but not required.Work Environment:Employees must be able to work at varying speeds in a production environment.Physical Demands:Ability to stand for the entirety of a 9+ hour shiftFrequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)Requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustmentRequires adequate hearing (with correction if needed)Benefits & Incentives:Orientation & training to support your successFree ice cream during breaksHealth benefits (medical, dental, vision) starting as low as $13/weekThrift retirement planVacation + PTOTuition reimbursementIce Cream Specialties is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
