Radiology - X-Ray Tech

CT Technologist Schedule: Afternoons, 8 hours, guaranteed 40 hours per week Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: 2+ years of X-ray or relevant experience required Traveler experience preferred Current Michigan license verification required (if applicable) Certifications: BLS, ARRT Roles & Responsibilities: Coordinate and participate in computerized tomography (C.T.) scanning procedures. Set up, monitor, and operate C.T. equipment for diagnostic purposes. Transfer and position patients safely using proper lifting techniques and apply immobilization devices when necessary. Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as needed, following protocols established by the Radiologist. Capture and develop images for permanent patient files and record studies for future reference. Organize daily patient schedules in cooperation with supporting staff. Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment. Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist in emergency medical situations, including administering basic CPR. Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean working environment, keeping inventory levels in check. Assist Radiologists with specialized procedures using current department standards. Compliance / Notes: Participation in quality assessments and continuous quality improvement initiatives is expected.
