Team members work cooperatively together to ensure all resident needs are met.Duties for the MedTech:Medication assistanceShowering/nail careMorning and bedtime care that includes assistance and queuing up to full assistance with dressingOral careGroomingSupporting the toileting programSkin careQueuing and assistance with mealsQueuing and assistance with safe transfers (using gait belts, sit-to-stand, and Hoyer Lift equipment)Accurately obtains and records vital signs, reports unusual vital signs to the shift lead/charge nurseResponds to the emotional and behavioral changes of the residentsResponds to emergencies including resident emergency call systemEncouraging socialization and participation in community activitiesReports concerns to the charge nurse and charts such concerns in the electronic MARMaintain a standing and/or sitting position, stoop, crouch, or bendMust be able to lift or move up to 50 poundsOther tasks as assigned Requirements: RequirementsMinimum Qualifications of a MedTech:MedTech Certificate (required for MedTech, not for caregiver)CPR, First Aid, CNA not required but is a plus.Understanding of electronic documentation or the ability to learn basic computer skillsFamiliarity with typical equipment used in a clinical setting such as Hoyer Lift, Sit to Stand, transfers (experience a plus but not required, we will train you)Benefits available for Full MedTech/Caregiver:Health Insurance – employer pays 75%Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort Term Disability InsuranceAccident InsuranceTelemedicineCritical Illness InsuranceLife Insurance ($10,000 employer paid)PTO starts accruing from day 1 and is available to use after 90 days of employmentScholarship opportunities401k with employer matching funds up to 3% of gross (After 90 days of employment)Pay:$20.50to $23.00/hr depending on experience, education and shiftAdditional $2 per hour shift differential for NOC hoursWeekend Day & Evening Shifts - additional $2 per hour shiftWork Environment: Orchard Ridge operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; operational needs of the facility may require you to be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the residents.
