About Us: Fit2Run-The Runner's Superstore is a specialty running retailer with a retail location at 311 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL. The organization employs approximately 250 people and focuses on providing expert product selection, fitting services, and customer support for runners and active customers. The store manager will represent the company at the Bradenton location and ensure alignment with corporate standards and local business goals.Position overview: The store manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and customer experience of the retail location. This role requires leadership of store staff, execution of merchandising and inventory strategies, achievement of sales and profitability targets, and maintenance of operational and visual standards.ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop store staff to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and product knowledge.Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to meet or exceed goals.Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, point-of-sale processes, and store safety.Oversee inventory management: receiving, stocking, cycle counts, shrink control and timely replenishment.Plan and execute visual merchandising and store presentation to reflect brand standards and local customer needs.Recruit, schedule, and maintain staffing levels to support business demand, including training and performance evaluations.Prepare and submit regular operational and sales reports; analyze data to inform decisions and improvements.Maintain compliance with company policies, loss prevention protocols, and local regulations.Foster positive customer relations, respond to escalated customer issues, and support community engagement initiatives as appropriate.RequirementsProven retail management experience, preferably in specialty retail, sporting goods, or running-focused stores.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop, and retain store-level teams.Strong customer service orientation and product knowledge; ability to train staff on fitting and product recommendations.Experience with inventory control, merchandising, POS systems, and basic financial reporting (sales, margins, P&L awareness).Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by retail operations.Physical ability to perform store duties, including standing for extended periods and moving stock.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or related field preferred.Keywords: retail manager, store manager, running specialty, inventory management, visual merchandising, team leadership, customer service.BenefitsCompetitive pay and performance-based incentives.Employee discount on merchandise.Paid time off and holiday scheduling consistent with retail policies.Opportunities for professional development and internal advancement within a specialty retail organization.Standard benefits package options may include health insurance and retirement plan offerings consistent with company policy.
