Manual Machinist / MechanicFull-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday + OvertimeWork on real equipment. Solve problems. Build and repair what others can't.We're looking for a skilled Manual Machinist / Mechanic to join our team. This is a hands-on role working on pumps, gearboxes, and industrial/marine equipment, where your machining and mechanical skills will be put to use every day.If you enjoy troubleshooting, rebuilding, and fabricating precision parts-and take pride in your craftsmanship-this is a strong opportunity to grow in a stable, team-oriented shop.What You'll DoOperate manual machining equipment including engine lathes, horizontal lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesMachine and fabricate precision parts to tight tolerances (±.001)Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial equipment (pumps, shafts, fans, gearboxes)Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating equipmentTake precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and vibration toolsRead and interpret blueprints and create sketches/prints as neededUse diagnostic tools such as multimeters, meggers, and Baker instrumentsSafely operate overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and lift equipmentMaintain accurate records and adhere to shop safety standardsCollaborate with the team to solve customer equipment challengesWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in manual machining or mechanical repair (or equivalent training)Strong ability to read blueprints and precision measuring toolsExperience working with tight tolerances and precision partsMechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindsetAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to work overtime and weekends as neededNice To HaveExperience in a machine shop, motor shop, tool & die, or similar environmentWelding and fabrication skillsExperience with metalizing equipmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsBenefits::Competitive hourly pay + overtime opportunities401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurancePaid time offEmployee assistance programWhy This Role Stands OutWork on complex, real-world equipment-not repetitive production workStrong mix of machining + mechanical repairStable, full-time role with consistent hoursOpportunity to expand your skills across multiple types of equipmentThe Bottom LineIf you're a hands-on machinist who enjoys problem-solving, precision work, and rebuilding equipment from the ground up-this is a role where your skills will be valued every day.
