Below are the position details for your reference:Job Title: Project ManagerWork Location: Newark, NJ (3 Days onsite)Duration: (6 Months | P ossibility of Extension)Pay rate: $60 - $70/Hr on w2Job Overview:Job Summary :Project ManagerOur client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives supporting utility clients and critical energy infrastructure programs. This role focuses on delivering complex, high-impact projects across multiple business areas, including grid modernization, enterprise systems, and customer-facing platforms, within a highly regulated environment.As a trusted partner to our clients, Client delivers solutions that enhance reliability, resiliency, and operational performance. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and PMO standards. This role requires strong leadership, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to drive initiatives from concept through implementation.Location: Qualified candidates must be in a commutable distance and able to go into a client office 3+ days per week in Newark, NJ.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cross-functional project teams, managing scope, schedule, cost, and contract compliance while serving as the primary customer interfacePlan, coordinate, and execute large-scale IT projects across the full project lifecycleDevelop and maintain project management plans, ensuring alignment with organizational and PMO standardsDefine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholdersEstablish and manage work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and resource plans in coordination with project schedulersManage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking actuals, and reporting accrualsIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively manage issues and dependenciesEnsure requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with established processesLead governance reviews and provide regular status reporting, dashboards, and executive-level communicationsMonitor project progress, milestones, and deliverable quality to ensure successful outcomesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience managing IT projects, including scope, schedule, and budgetPMP (Project Management Professional) certification requiredExperience supporting Client 365 environmentsLed cross-functional coordination across Workplace, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver identity-driven access and endpoint modernization effortsStrong understanding of project management methodologies and PMO processesProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders, including senior leadershipExperience managing project financials, including forecasting and variance analysisExcellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated customer-facing experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environmentProficiency with Client Office Suite, Smartsheet, Primavera or similar project management toolsAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting utility or energy sector clientsExperience managing large, complex, or multi-year programsFamiliarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
