Lead Java Developer

Title: Java DeveloperDuration: 6+ Months Contract Client Location: St Petersburg, FL (Hybrid)Experience and Skills: Experience developing scalable, distributed and highly responsive financial applications using Java, REST/Micro Services, Asynchronous Messaging, Angular (or other Single Page Application JS framework), Oracle & its related technologies. Prior work experience must include hands-on design and development. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, continuous delivery and related concepts. Must have experience in using AI technologies do develop code using tools like copilot, Claude agent etc. Angular experience to work on UI screens will be a plus. Strong experience on working relations databases, SQL Server and Oracle. NOTES from hiring manager: we will only consider local candidates for hybrid onsite workstyle 2-3 days per week at RJ in St Pete. looking for 10 years of core Java experience this is primarily a full stack backend Java role, 80% backend app dev work Spring Boot, REST, Jenkins and some Angular Fullstack would be a strong value add and preferred this is a true contract to hire FTE role, no work visa / candidate sponsorship at this time
