We will respond to your application within one business day.Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Executive Director of Operations who responsible for overseeing the daily business performance of multiple early childhood education directors and schools across New York State. This role ensures high-quality program delivery, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a family-centered experience. The Executive Director coaches and develops regional/site leaders, strengthens organizational culture, and drives continuous improvement in alignment with the company's mission, values, and long-term growth strategy.This is a Direct Hire position with the schoolMonday – Friday; year-round employmentCompensationBase Salary: $110,000 – $130,000/year (commensurate with education, credentials, and multi-site experience)Bonus opportunitiesBenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) Match Retirement PlanPaid Time OffLife InsuranceChild Enrollment DiscountProfessional Development AssistanceKey ResponsibilitiesLicensing, Compliance & Operational OversightEnsure all centers consistently meet or exceed state licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and internal policies.Monitor compliance systems, conduct site audits, and address deficiencies with action plans.Oversee daily operational performance across all locations.Develop and maintain operational procedures, site task calendars, and standard operating guidelines.Leadership, Coaching & Team DevelopmentSupervise Regional or Site Directors, providing ongoing coaching and evaluation.Implement leadership development frameworks that empower managers.Conduct regular management meetings to ensure communication of organizational expectations.Foster a positive organizational culture rooted in learning and accountability.Family & Community EngagementServe as a key ambassador of the organization within the community.Ensure high standards of family communication and customer service.Build and maintain relationships with community partners.Represent the organization at events, meetings, and professional associations.Financial & Business ManagementOversee operational budgeting, staffing models, and spending controls.Review and approve center expenditures.Monitor enrollment trends, classroom utilization, payroll percent and performance metrics.Ensure compliance with funding, grants, and subsidy program requirements.Organizational Growth & IntegrationLead operational onboarding of new centers, including licensing transitions and systems alignment.Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and quality.Support strategic planning and organizational initiatives.Communication & DocumentationMaintain regular communication with the CEO, leadership team, staff, and families.Produce reports, operational updates, and regulatory materials.Ensure effective information flow across teams.QualificationsREQUIRED Education: Bachelors Degree or higher, Masters preferredREQUIRED Multi-Site Experience: 5+ years of supervisory multi-site experience in the Early Childhood Education industryMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
