We focus on recruiting talented, self-motivated employees that strive to find a way to get things done.Position OverviewAltamira is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support secure, scalable cloud environments for mission-critical systems within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. This role focuses on building, automating, and operating cloud infrastructure that supports containerized platforms, data pipelines, and enterprise applications.The ideal candidate brings strong experience in AWS, infrastructure automation, networking, and security, and is comfortable supporting complex environments in highly regulated settings.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and hybrid environmentsImplement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and related toolingConfigure and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network connectivityDesign and manage IAM roles, policies, and access controlsSupport secure connectivity between cloud, on-premises, and classified environmentsAutomate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure resourcesMonitor performance, availability, and cost utilization of cloud environmentsImplement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutionsCollaborate with platform, security, and application teams to support system requirementsSupport system accreditation, compliance, and audit activitiesTroubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and performance issuesRequired QualificationsAbility to obtain TS/SCI clearanceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering rolesHands-on experience supporting AWS environmentsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, routing, firewalls)Experience implementing IAM and security best practicesStrong Linux and/or Windows systems administration experienceAbility to operate in secure, compliance-driven environmentsPreferred QualificationsCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) CertificationAWS Certified Solutions Architect or CloudOps certificationExperience with hybrid cloud and on-prem integrationExperience supporting Kubernetes platformsFamiliarity with monitoring and logging platformsExperience with Zero Trust architecturesExperience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programsExperience with cost optimization and FinOps practices
