Inside Sales Representative
Brief DescriptionThe Inside Sales Representative is the primary internal point of contact for Core Lifting's customers and a key partner to our outside sales and field team. This role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing product guidance across Core Lifting's full line of lifting, rigging, and below-the-hook equipment. The ideal candidate is driven, technically curious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where building real customer relationships matters.Job DutiesHandle inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries for products, pricing, and availabilityPrepare and follow up on quotes for the full Core Lifting product line including rigging, hoists, shackles, wire rope, and below-the-hook equipmentProcess sales orders accurately and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to meet customer lead timesBuild and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent, knowledgeable, and responsive servicePartner closely with outside sales representatives and field personnel to support active accounts and pursue new opportunitiesMaintain accurate customer, account, and order records in our internal systems (training provided on MIS by Accutech)Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accountsAssist customers with product identification, selection, and technical questionsCoordinate with management on pricing, margins, and special order itemsOther duties as assignedEducationA high school diploma or GED is required. Technical school, industry certifications, or military experience is a plus.Experience & Skills2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related customer-facing roleExperience in lifting, rigging, industrial distribution, oil & gas, or related industries strongly preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and interpret product specifications and technical documentationProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)Experience with ERP, CRM, or order management systems is a plus — training on internal systems providedDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyMust successfully complete a background check and drug screenAbout Core LiftingCore Lifting of Houston is a Houston-based distributor of lifting, rigging, and below-the-hook equipment, proudly serving the oil & gas, petrochemical, offshore, construction, and marine industries.
