Position: Alcohol & Drug Counselor Status: Non-Exempt
Supported By: Clinical Supervisor, Program Coordinator, Medical Billing
Hours: Full-Time Employment- Make your own hours provided you keep group hours from 9am to 12pm and 5pm to 8pm Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. There is no punching in and out. You should expect to work 38 hours per week.
All counselors make final decisions on their clients. We have a weekly Care Team meeting to get feedback, but company supports all decisions made by clinicians. We contract MH providers to provide Diagnostic Assessments and individual therapy including trauma therapy. Counselors are able to focus on SUD therapy as well as choose who is approved for their group.
We are an abstinence based 12 step program. We do not work the steps with clients, we only provide education. Also, education on all pathways of recovery are provided as well.
Each group is provided a Care Team consisting of an LADC and a CPRS. The CPRS assists clients with transportation, employment, housing, etc. which allows the LADC to focus on SUD therapy.
