This full-time position requires an individual with comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding logistics processes, vessel outfitting, and configuration management to support the OPC acquisition program. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Physical Configuration Audits, equipment validation, and Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processes. This position requires the ability to obtain Secret level security clearance and is based on-site in Mobile, Alabama requiring moderate physical activity in shipyard environments.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:The ILS Specialist will support outfitting, configuration management, and logistics activities for OPC construction and delivery. Principal responsibilities include:Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials including charts and briefs for project reviewsGenerate ad-hoc outfitting reports as required by Government leadershipParticipate in outfitting material aboard the cutter during construction and delivery phasesParticipate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) to verify as-built configuration matches design documentationSupport vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, and product trackingAssess logistic impacts of design changes and equipment modificationsReview and evaluate Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) submittals for completeness and complianceSupport Technical Assessment Review (TAR) processes for equipment and system changesAssist with proposal development and equipment life cycle cost analysisSupport logistics life cycle sustainment planning activitiesParticipate in Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes and evaluate logistics impactsTrack and report on configuration management activities and discrepanciesDevelop and deliver presentations on outfitting and PCA status to Government stakeholdersAttend meetings related to logistics and configuration management tasks as designated by CORApply analytical and evaluative methods to organize and administer outfitting/configuration programsCoordinate with shipbuilder and Coast Guard personnel on logistics mattersMaintain tracking systems for outfitting schedules, equipment deliveries, and configuration itemsSupport development of ship's allowance lists and equipment inventoriesAssist with logistics readiness assessments and reportingPerform moderate walking and movement through active shipyard and OPCs under constructionRequiredEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business field or related technical/business fieldMinimum of three (3) years of experience relevant to supporting logistics or configuration and shipbuilding processesSubstitution For Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in addition to the required minimum years of experienceRequired Skills And CompetenciesComprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes including construction, outfitting, and delivery phasesComprehensive knowledge of Technical Assessment Review (TAR), proposal development, equipment life cycle cost, and logistics life cycle sustainmentComprehensive knowledge of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processesComprehensive knowledge of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processesComprehensive knowledge in outfitting/load out of ship including equipment placement and validationComprehensive knowledge of Configuration Management principles and practicesComprehensive knowledge of Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) proceduresKnowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods to organize, plan, conduct, evaluate and administer outfitting/configuration programsAbility to produce reports, briefs, and presentations on logistics and configuration statusExperience with vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistic impactsProficiency in Microsoft Office software suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and ExcelStrong organizational and tracking capabilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with shipbuilder personnel, Government staff, and other stakeholdersPhysical ability to perform moderate walking and movement through active shipyard and ships under constructionClearance RequirementSecret security clearance Desired Skills And CompetenciesExperience with Coast Guard or Navy shipbuilding programs and logistics supportFamiliarity with Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) development and executionKnowledge of Major System Acquisition Manual (MSAM) logistics requirementsExperience with Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA) and Logistics Readiness Reviews (LRR)Understanding of ship systems and equipment installation requirementsExperience with supply chain management and material tracking systemsKnowledge of Navy or Coast Guard configuration management policiesFamiliarity with ship maintenance and sustainment planningExperience with Technical Data Package (TDP) review and validationCertified Professional Logistician (CPL) or similar logistics certificationKnowledge of Coast Guard Handbook of Acquisition Logistics and Templates (CG HALT)Experience with ship allowance list development and equipment inventory managementOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
