Our mission is to turn robots from demos into reliable labor units that companies can depend on daily.About the RoleWe are hiring a Member of technical staff to lead the development of next-generation robot learning systems for real-world manipulation and deployment. This role owns the technical vision across robot learning models, real-world data generation pipelines, teleoperation/demonstration learning systems, and task-specific model training for deployed robots.ResponsibilitiesRobotics Learning Strategy: Define the long-term architecture for robot learning across manipulation, task execution, and real-world deployment environments.Data & Teleoperation Intelligence: Shape how real-world robot data is generated, validated, and turned into scalable learning signals.Model → Deployment Feedback Loop: Establish closed-loop systems connecting deployment data, evaluation, and continuous model improvement.Research to Production: Drive the conversion of cutting-edge robotics research into reliable, production-ready systems.Technical Leadership: Build and lead the core robotics ML and data science organization from 0 → 1 while defining the company's long-term technical moat.Strategic Roadmap: Set multi-year technical roadmaps, balancing research depth with product velocity.QualificationsEducation: PhD or equivalent experience in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Control Systems.Required SkillsTechnical Expertise: Strong experience in at least 3 of the following: Robot manipulation, Imitation learning/RL, Multimodal/VLA-style models, 3D perception, Teleoperation systems, or Sim-to-Real pipelines.Systems Experience: Proven track record of building real robotic systems (beyond simulation) and training models using real sensor and behavior data.Shipment History: Experience shipping production-grade ML or robotics systems.Leadership: Ability to make critical architectural decisions across hardware, software, and ML stacks.Preferred SkillsExperience deploying robots in production environments outside of research labs.Expertise in dual-arm or dexterous manipulation.Experience designing evaluation benchmarks for complex robot tasks or building large-scale robotics datasets.Strong track record of publications in top-tier robotics/ML conferences.Pay range and compensation package25k-32k + Significant EquityEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.
