Landscape Field Trainer

Landscape Field Trainer Village Green Landscapes is a locally owned and operated full-scale landscape company serving the Twin City metro area with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. Landscape Field Trainer Position SummaryThis position serves as a critical leadership role in the management and delivery of high-quality landscape services. This role is responsible for working side by side with our landscape crews to improve knowledge and skills in landscape construction and installation, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance the team's skill set. The person in this role will build positive relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction, brand loyalty, and team collaboration. Pay Range: $30.00 - 40.00 per hourBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD insurances, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401K Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTrain new and existing team members on landscape construction techniques, including pavers, retaining walls, base preparation, grading, drainage, planting, and site preparation.Train new and existing team members on safe work techniques including body mechanics, equipment operation, proper use of tools, and OSHA requirements.Ensure workplace safety is a top priority and safety procedures are being followed. Is a role model for workplace safety. Create training tools in collaboration with Landscape and Branch leadership.Work side by side with crews to provide hands-on training in landscape techniques to improve crew performance.Rotate time with all assigned landscape crews to train all members of the landscape team.Provide feedback, mentorship, training, work direction and coaching to crews to ensure high performance and quality outcomes.Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment required for landscape installation in a proper and safe manner.Proficiently read and execute landscape design prints, including the ability to accurately create material takeoffs as needed.Identify, place, and install plants per landscape plan.Stay up to date on current industry standards and techniques.Reinforce company installation methods and best practices.Exhibit strong customer communication skills, including interaction and follow-through.Demonstrate leadership skills that drive a high-performing team.Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology for daily operations.Work collaboratively with the team and company leadership.Demonstrate timely and effective communication—verbal, non-verbal, and written.Demonstrate high-quality decision making in a fast-paced and quickly evolving environment.QualificationsRequired18+ years of age2+ years of hardscape installation experienceValid driver's license with a clean driving recordValid DOT card or ability to obtain oneMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug testWritten landscape and language proficiency in preferred languagePreferredCDL – Class A licenseBilingual English/Spanish language skillsCompensation details: 30-40PI86d8c944fbba-37483-40015785
