JOB PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the necessary job duties and tasks are completed per the company’s accounting department requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Respond to inquiries from carriers on rate verification, pay status, etc.
Processing AR billing/collection
Contact carriers on missing documents
Print carrier invoices and shipment breakdown as needed
Answer the phone for carrier requests and print AP emails as needed
Filing of paid Invoices for Pero Transport
Pulling requested PODs for PFFFC
Update outside carrier mailing information
Review and update Ippolito’s invoice discrepancies
Follow-up on OS/D issues
Process and pay all quick pays for outside carriers
Truck Claims involving insurance companies
Assist the Assistant Accounting Manager with the required job duties and tasks requested
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
1-3 years of transportation industry experience is preferred
High School diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to complete multiple, complex, tasks and assignments
Outstanding oral and written communications skills are required
Ability to conduct difficult conversation with carriers
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Oracle Business Intelligence
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
