Overview MRI Technologist – Radiology (Travel - Temporary Assignment) in Cumming, GA. Start date: 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Weekly pay: $2,221–$2,360. Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday. Work setting: hospital-based radiology department performing MRI exams with a team that supports ED, inpatient, and outpatient services. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,221–$2,360 - Guaranteed hours: 40 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift, Mon–Fri - Start date: 06/15/2026 - Setting: Hospital-based MRI department Responsibilities - Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations according to department protocols for adult and pediatric patients. - Prepare patients, co-register orders in the Cerner system, position for scans, select appropriate imaging protocols, and ensure high-quality images and patient safety. - Monitor patients during MRI procedures, respond to emergencies, and adhere to American Heart Association BLS guidelines. - Maintain accurate documentation and image workflow within Cerner and transfer images to the PACS as required. - Collaborate with ED, inpatient, and outpatient teams to support a typical departmental volume of 25–30 patients per day. - Assist with breast biopsy imaging as part of routine MRI protocols and ensure proper equipment care and room prep. Requirements - Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience in a clinical setting. - ARRT MRI certification (ARRT - MRI) as required for the assignment. - American Heart Association BLS certification (AHA BLS). - Proficiency with Cerner EMR and MRI workflow. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, hospital-based MRI department and support 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedules, Monday through Friday.
