Responsibilities
A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and subspecialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board‑certified OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions, inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost‑effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
24 hour shifts. Flexible scheduling to create work life balance for you
Collaboration with community OBs in a highly supportive and cohesive group

Real‑time communication with office physicians of triage visits, new issues, and deliveries

Multidisciplinary OB critical care.
24‑hour in house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
Management of OB/GYN emergency‑department patients.
Athens, Ohio is located in the Eastern part of the state, flanking Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh is just over the state line) and Northern West Virginia.
Less than 2 hours East of Columbus, Ohio and 2 hours South of Cleveland, Ohio
Qualifications
Must be Board Certified OGYN
Must have a minimum of 1 year recent clinical experience
Prefer active Ohio license or ability to obtain via IMLC compact
Pediatrix does provide assistance in obtaining state Medical License and DEA, if needed
Benefits and Compensation
Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.
We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
