We are working with a precision solid carbide cutting tool manufacturer seeking an experienced CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder / CNC Tool Grinder to support the production and optimization of high-performance round tools, including drills, end mills, and reamers.This position is ideal for someone currently working in a carbide or cutting tool manufacturing environment who has hands-on experience with CNC tool grinding machines and understands both tool geometry and production-level precision requirements.Key Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and optimize CNC tool grinding machines, including Walter and Reinecker platformsManufacture and refine solid carbide round cutting tools such as drills, end mills, and reamersInterpret tooling specifications, blueprints, and geometry requirements to produce precision rotary cutting toolsUtilize advanced tool inspection and measurement systems including Walter Helicheck, Zoller PomBasic, and Bruker AliconaWork within Tool Studio or similar tool design software to support geometry verification and process accuracyAnalyze runout, concentricity, surface finish, flute form, and dimensional tolerances to ensure tool performance and consistencyTroubleshoot grind strategy, wheel selection, offsets, and machine parameters to improve tool quality and production efficiencySupport new tool introductions and continuous improvement initiatives within a CNC tool grinding environmentCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to maintain manufacturability and repeatabilityRequired Experience:Experience working as a CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder, CNC Tool Grinder, or Tool & Cutter Grinder within a solid carbide or cutting tool manufacturing environmentHands-on background with Walter or Reinecker CNC grinding machinesDirect experience producing solid carbide drills, end mills, reamers, or similar round toolsFamiliarity with inspection and metrology systems such as Helicheck, Zoller, Alicona, or comparable precision measurement equipmentStrong understanding of cutting tool geometry, carbide materials, grinding processes, and tolerancesAbility to work independently in a high-precision manufacturing settingPreferred Background:Experience using Tool Studio or other tool design softwareExposure to coating considerations, flute design, relief angles, and grind wheel selectionPrior involvement in process improvement or production optimization initiativesComfortable reading engineering drawings and supporting documentationWhy This Opportunity:Work directly with advanced CNC tool grinding technologyPlay a critical role in the production of high-performance solid carbide cutting toolsCompetitive compensation in the $100K–$130K rangeRelocation support available Stable position within a precision manufacturing environment focused on round tool excellence
