Assistant Property Manager

We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Community Assistant Manager to join our team and growing company. GMC Property Management is a family owned and managed company that has been in the multi-family industry for over 30 years. Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2  to 4 years’ leasing or Assistant Manger experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be detailed-oriented, organized and able to multi-task.Scope and PurposeTo be responsible, under the supervision of the Resident Manager, for all phases of the operation of the properties, including, but not limited to, the general administration and maintenance of the physical plant: to direct and control all personnel and resources to the end that the property is maintained at all times in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation.Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):Help prospective residents in finding an apartment homeEnter all new move-ins and move-outs into the operating systemMarket the apartmentsAdhere to all accounting directivesMake bank deposits daily or as requiredEnsure the residents are provided a safe, clean, well-maintained communityUpdate the apartment board with new move-outs and ready unitsNew move-out inspections for deposit refund processingChanging rents to current market rate as they are vacatedPurchasing or authorizing purchases for all maintenance workApproves or rejects rental applicationsCollecting all rents, both current and past dueUpdating all advertisingQualificationsCertified leasing Professional or similar designation or two years of leasing experiencePleasing personality and ability to work well with the general publicCommon sense and judgment in day to day mattersEven-temperedGood attention to detailAbility to solve resident, personal, and financial problemsNeat, clean and appropriate appearanceAccounting and administrative background preferredSalary PackageCompetitive salary based on experienceMonthly, Quarterly & Annual Bonus PotentialDiscounted rental packagePaid time off ProgramHealth, Dental, and Vision after 90 days401K ProgramPosition Start DateImmediately Applicant must pass criminal, credit and drug screenings
