Mail Specialist
About This RoleThis position exists to provide mail service to the campus community by sorting, delivering, and collecting all campus and federal mail from various campus locations. This position will process all outgoing mail using various carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL) while conforming to Domestic and International regulations by utilizing shipping software, handheld scanners, and various computer programs.Worksite OptionThis role is expected to be performed on-site.Minimum QualificationsWhat You'll Need to SucceedHigh School Diploma and one year of relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsPrefer a high school graduate or equivalent and two years' experience in a major mail room operation.Prefer knowledge of United States Postal Service and United Parcel Service regulations, rapid reading ability, and memorization skills for sorting of mail, and data entry ability.Other RequirementsQuadient electronic mailing machines, scales and meters, UPS computerized manifest system, Calculator, Postage accounting system, personal computer, strapping machine, motor vehicle, 14-foot truck, handheld scanners. Must have a good grasp on technology, i.e. computers, cell phones, software programs.
