DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Job Developer serves an essential role within the Employment Services Department by supporting people with disabilities in achieving meaningful and competitive employment outcomes. This position develops and maintains partnerships with local businesses, schools, transition programs, and community organizations to create employment opportunities for people supported by RGA.The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, highly organized, creative in problem-solving, and passionate about promoting inclusion and independence through employment.ScheduleGenerally daytime office hours Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends may be required based on assigned duties. This position requires travel throughout the community and work in remote locations as needed.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAgency Mission & Professional StandardsUphold and promote the mission, values, policies, and procedures of RGA Maintain professional, respectful, and supportive interactions with people supported, families, employers, and team members Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, cooperation, and honesty in all communications and documentation Maintain confidentiality and full compliance with agency and regulatory standards Job Development & Community EngagementConduct person-centered assessments utilizing the IM+CANS Assessment Develop individualized employment-related treatment plans and supports Build partnerships with employers, schools, transition programs, and community organizations Identify and pursue traditional and non-traditional employment opportunities Network within the community to increase awareness of inclusive hiring practices Conduct job site visits to monitor progress and address concerns Provide consultation and creative employment solutions during team meetings Promote RGA’s mission and services throughout the community Employment Services CoordinationCollaborate with Employment Services team members to identify job opportunities Match individuals’ interests, strengths, and skills to employment opportunities Coordinate job-seeking activities and employment supports Support successful transitions into employment placements Consult with employers and coworkers to foster long-term employment success Documentation & ComplianceConduct intake meetings within established timelines Complete and maintain Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) Ensure treatment plans and goals are updated according to funding and regulatory requirements Document job development and maintenance activities accurately and timely Submit billing and required program documentation within deadlines Maintain compliance with all RGA and regulatory documentation standardsBenefits (Full-Time Employees)Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 403(b) Retirement Plan with 3%Employer Match Generous Paid Time Off (vacation, sick, personal, and holidays) Telehealth Services (TeleDoc) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) RequirementsEducation & CertificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License PreferredBachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field Qualified Human Services Professional (QHSP) IM+CANS Certification ExperiencePreferred:Previous networking and business relationship development experience Public speaking experience Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) or human services experience Skills & AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint Ability to read and understand written information Ability to drive throughout the community Ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 75 pounds Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Additional InformationThe Job Developer is expected to effectively network with community businesses and secure meaningful employment opportunities for people supported by RGA. Knowledge of local employers and community resources is highly desirable.
