The consistent workflow at Plattsburgh’s Level III trauma center, paired with a wealth of local recreational activities, ensures a fulfilling experience both professionally and personally.POSITION SUMMARY:The MRI Technologist is responsible for conducting radiologic procedures across various settings as directed by licensed healthcare providers. This role requires adherence to ethical standards and professional practices in line with hospital policies and New York State regulations. Additionally, the technologist will support all functions within the Radiology Department.REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must hold a valid license from the New York State Department of Health and be registered with the ARRT as a Radiographer (R) and in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Active status in both certifications is essential.A minimum of three years of MRI experience in a hospital environment is required, excluding any training period.Candidates must obtain certification from the New York State Department of Health to administer IV contrast within two months following the completion of their orientation.Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively engage with anxious patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.Effective communication skills are required for collaboration with physicians and colleagues in various situations.The ability to think and respond swiftly is crucial for providing high-quality care in diverse and potentially stressful scenarios.BLS certification is required, or it must be obtained within three months of employment.WHY JOIN OUR ORGANIZATION?Few careers can offer the ideal balance found here.
