Part-Time HVAC-R Instructor

Description: We are offering up to 29 hours per week for this position. We are seeking HVAC-R Instructors to deliver high-quality education in the areas of HVAC-R theory and application, schematics reading, electrical theory, wiring and controls, refrigerant handling, systems diagnostics, complete systems repair, troubleshooting, installation, and the HVAC-R regulatory arena. As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive training to our students. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: - Have a minimum of five (5) years of HVAC-R industry experience. - Preferred experience in both residential and commercial/industrial settings. - Demonstrate extensive knowledge of schematics reading, electrical theory, wiring and controls, refrigerant handling, systems diagnostics, complete systems repair, troubleshooting, installation in residential and commercial settings, and the HVAC-R regulatory arena. - Possess valid EPA 608, R410a, and ICE certifications and be knowledgeable about the certification process. - Hold a valid OSHA General Industry or OSHA Construction certification (preferred). - Hold an Ohio Department of Education Adult Education teaching permit or be willing to obtain one. - Have a student-oriented teaching style, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. - Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and administrators as an effective team member. - Be proficient in email and Microsoft Office programs. - Display strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills. - Have a solid work record and an acceptable criminal record. Start Date: Based on the class schedule. Pay: We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $32.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
