Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and support to patients in a behavioral health setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed healthcare provider. This role is responsible for medication administration, patient monitoring, behavioral observation, treatment support, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment for individuals receiving mental health services.QualificationsCurrent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license requiredCurrent CPR/BLS certification requiredKnowledge of behavioral health nursing practices, pharmacology, patient care procedures, and medical terminologyUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality standards, and healthcare compliance requirementsAbility to recognize and respond appropriately to psychiatric or behavioral emergenciesStrong observation, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to build rapport with patients while maintaining professional boundariesExperience administering medications and monitoring patient responsesPhysical ability to assist, reposition, or restrain patients when necessaryPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, substance abuse treatment, or inpatient mental health settings preferredExperience working with interdisciplinary treatment teams preferredCPI or crisis prevention/intervention training preferred
