If you want to feel empowered and appreciated, we encourage you to apply!The Quality Weld Specialist is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) responsible for ensuring all fabricated and welded products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. This role supports production through inspection, documentation, process improvement, and weld quality leadership, while driving consistent, repeatable welding processes across the shop.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect weldments to ensure compliance with AWS standards and customer specificationsReview, generate, and maintain weld procedures, welder certifications, and quality documentationPerform and oversee weld quality inspections and testing as requiredInvestigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsDevelop and enforce weld-related SOPs and best practicesSupport production, engineering, and training efforts to improve weld quality and consistencyPromote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvementEducation and ExperienceActive AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required5+ years of experience in welding, weld quality, or manufacturing quality environmentsStrong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and AWS D14.3 standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specificationsTechnical degree in welding or engineering preferred but not requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environmentFrequent bending, climbing, stooping, and hands-on inspection activityAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionallyExposure to noise, welding environments, and moving machineryBenefitsTo better serve our employees, we offer competitive benefits as followsPayHiring Salary Range: Depending on ExperienceBonus ProgramsLocation: Tea, SD (right off I-29)Work Hours: 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday – FridayInsuranceMedical – Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care AccountDental and Vision PlansSTD/LTD and Voluntary Life/AD&D PlansRetirement401k with company matchHolidays/PTO9 Paid Holiday, 1 Floating HolidayPTO for New HiresAdditional IncentivesSafety glasses and steel toe boots reimbursementWork shirts provided by DeGeestNote: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
