We are looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Controller to advance and guide our high-performing Accounting Team. The ideal candidate must possess strong skills in prioritizing tasks, communicating, documenting, identifying and addressing risk, and executing a plan for future operational improvements.Primary Responsibilities:Oversight of financial statements and reporting to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines and requirements (GAAP, tax, FAR), including continuous communications with our Operation and Contract Teams to ensure industry standards are maintainedOversite and continued design enhancements and automation within our financial ERP system for integrity, compliance, and efficiencies. Continued formulation, documentation, enhancement, and enforcement of internal policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements and best practicesSupport in all aspects of DCAA reporting, including the annual I.C.E. submission and CAS reportingMaintenance and enforcement of policies and procedures that protect access to Company assets and informationEstimation of short and long-term cash flow, ensuring adequate funding and liquidityProviding guidance and elevating performance for our Accounting Team, including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial ReportingDevelopment of Team Members for potential leadership opportunitiesMaintaining the integrity of, and timely completion of, various procedures and processes, including journal entries, allocations, and timely account reconciliations and closing schedulesOversight of the annual external financial and compliance audits as requiredDeliver and provide continuous improvement in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (internal and external)Partnership in continuous improvement of annual and quarterly budgeting processes and monthly budget vs actual reportingQualifications:High level working knowledge of the FAR and DCAA compliance in a cost-plus environment is HIGHLY preferredProven experience as a Controller or other similar position(s) (5+ years)People management (6+ years)Proven expertise in MS Excel; advanced proficiency across all MS OfficeAbility to bring out the problem-solving abilities of othersExperience in managing accounting ERP (e.g. JAMIS or Costpoint)Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysisBudget process management and model creation experience a plusLife at AtlasOur focus can be summed up succinctly – To create a positive impact for our clients, community, and country, we integrate reliable, intuitive IT solutions for the warfighter.Atlas offers you:Growth potential and ability to lead changeCompany leadership that believes in learning, teaching, passion, and flexibilityChallenging, motivating and fun work environmentCompany culture that is guided by our core values
