Job Overview: The Host welcomes our guests and maintains a smooth and steady flow in our restaurant service by assigning patrons to tables suitable for the guest needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings. Reports to: Food & Beverage Management Duties:Assist the Servers in preparing for dinner or lunch serviceReview and confirm reservations for each serviceGreet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areasProvide guests with menusAssign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatingsSpeak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversationAnswer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls Essential Requirements:Must be available Tuesday through Saturday nights and Sunday brunchDesire to grow within the hospitality industry is preferredFluency in English both verbal and non-verbalProvide legible communication and directionsCompute basic arithmeticAt least 1 year of experience in similar position dealing with the general public Disclaimer:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
