Linux Platform Engineer
Work on the production infrastructure behind a global trading environment where latency, system behaviour and reliability have an immediate and measurable impact.Based in Miami, you'll engineer the platform supporting latency-sensitive trading and market data systems, working across Linux internals, Python, networking, hardware and observability. You'll work closely with software engineers, traders and researchers to improve performance, automate infrastructure and solve complex production problems.What You'll Work OnBuild Python tooling and automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment and infrastructure lifecycle managementEngineer and tune Linux systems for latency-sensitive workloadsInvestigate performance across CPU, memory, NUMA, storage and networkingDebug complex issues across hardware, OS, network and application layersBuild reusable tooling to automate operational workflows and reduce production riskImprove observability through metrics, profiling, monitoring and alertingOptimize infrastructure supporting live trading and market data systemsIdentify and remove system and application performance bottlenecksImprove the performance, reliability and automation of a global Linux environmentWhat We're Looking For4+ years of experience engineering Linux systems in demanding production environmentsStrong Python development skills, with experience building infrastructure tooling, automation or internal platformsDeep Linux knowledge across processes, memory, filesystems, system calls and performance analysisStrong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing and network troubleshootingComfortable working close to server hardware and the operating systemExperience with monitoring, observability and production incident responseStrong systems troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate problems across multiple layers of the stackExperience in trading, low-latency or other performance-critical environments is a plusAuthorized to work in the United StatesThe OpportunityWork on infrastructure where performance improvements are visible in production and engineers are expected to understand systems deeply, not just keep them running.You'll have ownership across design, automation, performance tuning and troubleshooting, with the scope to build Python tooling and dig into Linux, networking and hardware when solving problems.
