Assistant Director of the Personalized Learning Center
As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks an Assistant Director of the Personalized Learning Center. The Assistant Director will promote our Catholic and Franciscan mission and identity by conducting the interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, and will collaborate with students, faculty and staff to coordinate the effective delivery of reasonable accommodations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service,integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.Collaborate with the Director in program development and providing strategic leadership to the Personalized Learning Center.Maintains timely and appropriate records by documenting communication with and regarding students/faculty interactions as well as rationale for accommodation decisions.Work with students with disabilities to identify and implement reasonable accommodations that support access to all campus spaces.Assist with the facilitation of accommodated testing through collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure access for students with testing accommodations.Collaborate and support campus partners at all Marian campuses and sites to ensure the timely and appropriate implementation of accommodationsUniversity Expectations:Knowledge of and a commitment to the mission of Marian UniversityAdheres to Marian University's policies and proceduresShows courtesy and respect in interactions with fellow employees, students subordinates, and supervisorsCommunicates regularly with supervisor about Department issuesMeets department productivity standardsParticipates in developing department goals, objective, and systemsAssists to establish department measurements that align and support the accomplishment of the University's strategic goalsAdheres to the department budgetEducational Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
