The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of respiratory therapy practices and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality care to patients across various age groups, with a focus on adult populations. Your expertise will be pivotal in administering respiratory treatments, managing ventilation systems, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute respiratory therapy in accordance with established medical protocols and state regulations.Provide respiratory care and interventions as prescribed by healthcare professionals in general floors, ICUs, and emergency settings.Lead airway management during emergency situations and respond to Rapid Response calls.Operate and manage advanced mechanical ventilation systems, including specialty modalities.Administer medications and specialty gases such as Nitrogen, Heliox, and Nitric Oxide.Evaluate patient responses to therapy and recommend modifications as needed.Document patient care activities and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.Engage in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care strategies and progress.QualificationsCompletion of a respiratory therapy program from an accredited institution.Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Illinois.Certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.Physical and Mental RequirementsAbility to lift and maneuver objects up to 60 pounds.Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity for patient care tasks.Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams.We Accept New Grads!!!The salary range for this position is $31.49 - $37.05 per hour.A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for a 2-year commitment, and up to $20,000 for a 3-year commitment.
