Technology Operations Engineer

Eagle Seven is seeking a TechnologyOperations Engineer. Our Operations Team is at the intersection of trading, development, and systems administration and plays an integral part of our firm's success. The team manages the deployments, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting for multiple trading strategies. We are seeking an individual to help us solve complex problems and improve our processes and tools. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong sense of ownership who can anticipate challenges. Must be open to working a rotating schedule between US and Asia shifts.Primary Responsibilities include:Monitoring the trading system and working to identify and resolve issuesIdentifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex problems to keep trading onlineWorking with the risk team and trading desks to understand and facilitate trading requirementsManaging daily changes and communicating statuses to the companyAutomating software distribution and deployments for Linux and Windows applications to speed up our application deploymentsBuilding new tools to manage our system and reduce effort and errorsRequirementsSkills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field1-3 years of experience supporting, administering, or developing on Linux-based environmentsStrong proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systemsWorking knowledge of basic scripting experience, preferably with Python Experience using distributed version control systemsUnderstanding of configuration management tools such as Salt, Puppet, or ChefExposure to infrastructure and application monitoring tools, including Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus and GrafanaExperience working with JIRA or similar ticketing and workflow management systemsKnowledge of log aggregation, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teamsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues in a timely mannerDemonstrated ownership, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindsetBenefitsEagle Seven offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees.Medical PPO and HMO coverage through BlueCross BlueShieldHealth Savings Account (with enrollment into a High Deductible Health Plan)Dental coverage through GuardianVision coverage through VSP401k Retirement Savings Plan with Employer MatchCompany Paid Life InsuranceCompany Paid Disability InsurancePaid Time OffFlexible Spending AccountPre-tax Transit BenefitsComplimentary Lunch and BeveragesThe minimum base salary for this role starts at $75,000.
