Communications Manager

We have 90+ years of experience operating in multi-faceted transportation modes and are a dynamic and growing organization.We are looking for a full-time, on-site Communications Manager.This is not an entry-level role; this is a high-ownership position for a seasoned communications professional who is equal parts strategist, coordinator, and executor: someone who can get deep into the details, manage competing priorities, and make an organization look sharper, stronger, and more connected through excellent communication.You’ll work with our Communications Director to plan, create, and execute internal and external communications projects across multiple audiences, brands, and departments.This role isn’t for someone who needs constant oversight/guidance or prefers to work in slower, highly structured environments. It is, however, a great opportunity for someone who thrives on momentum, clarity, and being the person everyone knows they can count on.Core Responsibilities:Copywriting and copyediting across channels including email campaigns, text messaging, websites, intranets, print collateral, and social mediaPlanning, scheduling, disseminating, and tracking communications across multiple campaigns and audiencesOwning our social media presence: scheduling, monitoring engagement, responding to inquiries, and keeping content freshContent creation to support communications efforts, including basic graphic design, photography, videography, video editing, and podcast/audio (while it would be amazing if you had experience in all of these realms, experience with some is great as long as you are willing and able to learn/dabble in the things you don’t already know)Coordinating with external vendors to ensure farmed-out creative projects (simpler and/or more complex) are coordinated, tracked, and seen through to completionCreating, maintaining, and revamping training materials, presentations, and internal resources with a focus on clarity, engagement, and incorporating new concepts/technology over timeManaging recurring content upkeep (seasonal updates, rotating messaging, stale content refreshes, etc.) that may not require as much creative effort but is necessary to maintain our communications programsMaintaining organized shared file structures, naming conventions, and collaborative workflowsSupporting communications strategy development alongside the Communications Director, especially being a liaison between internal departments to stay informed and pull everything togetherOccasional travel to company locations (estimated 5-10%)You are the right person for this role if:You bring a project manager’s brain to communications.
